Today in Wānanga we started looking at a new kete. This kete is about STEAM/STEM. STEAM stands for science, technology, engineering, art and math. We are doing the kete in our Wānanga group. Today for the STEAM kete we are doing a challenge. The challenge is to fit through a piece of a4 paper. We had to get into a group of 3 people. The group I was with was my friend Alexia and a classmate, Chelsea. After we got into a group of 3 people we have to get a piece of a4 paper and a pair of scissors. You are not allowed to use glue or tape or anything sticky. I think that it was a good idea that we made it big because then everyone will fit through the paper. If the paper was smaller we probably would not be able to go through it or it would be nearly the same. If the cuts were not as deep it probably would be the same. If the cuts were further apart it would probably be bigger. Here is the photo of our work. (sorry about the glowing)
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Please note....some work won't be edited - just my first drafts, so there may be some surface errors. I would love your feedback, comments, thoughts and ideas.
