Sadako And The Thousand Paper Cranes

Yesterday Miss Birtch showed us a video, the video is called " Sadako and The Thousand Paper Cranes" Here is the link to the video we watched. She gave us some questions after watching the video.

    1. Who is the girl in the video? her name is Sadako
    2. Where is she? Up in the sky
    3. Why do you think she is there? Because shes dead
    4. How did she get there? She woke up there?
    5. How does she feel? Sad but Happy
    6. What is a paper crane and what does it represent? A paper crane is like a bird out of paper, I think it represents happy and sad times.
She also gave us some questions after we read the story. Here is the link to the story we read
      1. What CARR value do you think Sadako used while making her paper cranes?
      • Commitment, RESPECT, ACHIEVEMENT

      1. If you choose a symbol of hope for the world during 2020, what would it be and why?
      • I would choose Dove because it is peace and care

      1. Add four facts to your work that you learnt about the real Sadako
          • Sadako got leukemia, its a type of cancer
          • She folded over 1300 paper cranes
          • At the age of 11 she was diagnosed
          • Sadako Sasaki is her full name

  1. Hi Carla

Really great work sharing your responses to the Sadako story that we looked at. I enjoyed your idea as a Dove as a symbol of peace for 2020.

For the second lot of questions, all of them have numbered off as 1. That is a bit confusing, perhaps next time check to make sure that they are numbering in the right order. But the quality of the answers is spot on.
