Te Ao Whanui - Pa Tuwatawata

Today in Te Ao Whanui my group jetboats had to read a book called "Pa Tuwatawata".  After we read the book we had to have a discussion but not everyone is finished reading. Since I finished reading I have to answer some questions. Here are the answers. The purpose of a Pa was they were built to protect their kainga, some Pa didn't build for permanent use but often had food stores in them. Pa offers an advantage for Maori over the British superpower. Some features of Pa is that it has houses, pits for storage, storehouses, lines of human-made stockades. Stockade is a barrier that is made out of wooden stakes that are built for defensive. Earthworks are barriers and protections moulded from the land. Rangatira is a high ranked person. Pekerangi is kind of like a wall but not really, it made out of thin manuka and tupakihi. Some of the advantages Pa offered against the British superpower were that there was a double layer of palisades made from tree trunks and harakeke padding, an underground rua connected by a network of tunnels, stepped trenches were made 1.8 meters deep and trenches provided hidden firing positions. After we did the questions we have to do another worksheet. On the sheet, we have to compare and contrast. Here is my work.
