Figurative Language

Today I have to describe what a simile and metaphor is to you. Here is one simile and metaphor from PaperBoy. Metaphor: “Mrs. Worthington and her red hair. That was the dessert of my thinking” (p. 156). Simile: “[Mr. Spiro] sounded official like he was calling a baseball game on the radio”
(p. 30). What is a simile?: A simile is a repranse with like or as, here is a example: The dog was running as fast as a cheater. You can us similes and metaphors in writing. What is a metaphor?: A metaphor is a figure of speech in which word or a phrase is applied to an object or action. Here is a example of a metaphor: Her heart is gold. The activity said we had write a metaphor that best describes Little Man’s relationship with Mam and write a simile that describes Little Man’s communication with TV boy. Here is the simile and metaphor.

Simile: Both don't talk alot like a turtle very quite.

Metaphor: Little Man and Mam are very strong together.
