Whole School Assembly

Today we had Assembly. Its was really exciting because me and my friend Emma got our Leader Ship Badge. We were the first ones out of all the year six. When our homeroom teacher(Miss Mc Guinniety) called out our names. when we were up there we were shaking. My favorite teacher was so excited when I was up there. On the 28th June some students dug a hangi-pit.The next day Matua Willie started the fire in the pit.Some kapa haka girls helped get the food ready.The food went in at 10am and came out at 1 pm. The kapa haka got their kai first. then the rest of the school got their kai. Their was a lot a of water in the food and the meat was the best in my opinion.

Day of the dead

Can you tell me what you know about Day of the dead. I only know that they do it in Brazil. I know day of the dead is a celebration.I think it is a festival. In my class I have a boy from Brazil.

Chinese New Year

for the next 2 weeks in literacy we are going to be learning about Chinese New Year.I already know that music and dancing to celebrate.What do you know about Chinese New Year? Can you help me with my knowledge.
