For the past two weeks was have been doing abstract art. The task was that we had to make three art work using 3 elements from abstract art. There are six elements altogether. The six elements are form, texture, colour, line, shapes and tones. The three art work had to be made by a word. the three words were growth, love/compassion and fear. We had to use A3 paper for our first art work then we used A4 paper for the second task. After we finished that art work we had to do another one with warm and cool colours. I liked doing the second task because I liked doing the colours and adding the mountain on mine. It was hard for me to do the first one because I didn't know what to do for it and our teacher said not to sketch it. I am only showing you one of my works. Here is that work.
I am a student at in Uru Mānuka. In 2020 I was a year 7 and in 2021 I will be a year 8. This is a place where I will be able to share my learning with you. Drama
For the past 2 weeks we have started term 4 and we had to do drama. Since one of our teachers have gone into to maternity leave so we have a different teacher. Last week our focus was freeze frame. There were four things we were looking at in our freeze frame. The four things were gesture, layers, facial expressions spacial relationship. Last week we had to get into groups and create four freeze frames from a script we were learning. My group was with my friends Shanaya, Alexia and Casey. I think these freeze frames good because there layers are all different and they are all doing some thing different form each other. Here is a photo of some our freeze frames.

Playing To Win - Chapter 3 - 4
Today I read chapter 3 - 4 of Playing To Win. After we read them chapters we had to go on to the group slides and read the task. The task we to understand the characters: When we are reading a story, it is important that we understand who the characters are and what their actions show us. We looked at this a little bit last term with our Gingerbread Man lesson. What can we infer about the character, how can we describe them? Here is my doc with my work.

Pink Shirt Day Design
Today we had to do another Pink Shirt Day activity. The activity was we had to make a shirt design involving pink shirt day. We could do the shirt on paper or on our Chromebook. We had to do a back side and a front side. Our Teacher said we had to say Pink Shirt Day on the shirt. We could put anything on the shirt as long as it involves pink shirt day. Digital Black Out Poetry
Today we tried something new on our Chromebook. Since we have been doing black out poetry art, the teacher is making us use a website she found. The website is called "Blackout Poetry Maker". Here is the link to the website. The website is cool to use and it will allow you to put your own story on there and make a black out poem. The website was easy to use and not very slow at all for me. The website has some stories for you to choose. The stories are Alice In Wonderland, Pride and Prejudice and lastly Heart of Darkness. I made 7 blackout poems on this website so I think you could make a lot as well. I perfer the physical poems but I also like Digital. Here is my poems

PE Expectations
Today the teacher is making us write down the expectations of PE. If you don't have your PE gear there will be a concussions. But I don't want excuses of that I don't have it because I cant find it. You mush have your PE gear. You must get changed and come sit down quietly so the teacher can do the role. The teacher don't expect you to come and play with the gear out.Those people without PE gear will not participate. Before coming into the gym you must line up quietly so we can get started.

Playing To Win - Chapter 1 - 2
Today I was the start of term 4 and we had reading period 1. The book I was reading was called "Playing to win". The book was made by Fleur Beale. We had to read chapter 1 - 2. We got a good introductions to the main characters in the story. We have to write a summary which explains what has happened so far in the story.
So far in the story Denny has got into West bridge high and is not liking it so far. I think Dennys personality is a chill and cool type of person and likes sports very much and is very athletic. The characters so far are called Denny, Alice, Todd, Ms Finlayson, Rose, Lucy, Zac, Pete, Clara, Sally. He meet a girl named Alice and a guy named Todd who is inlove with Alice and Todd thinks Denny is going to steal her from him. Denny has a car and little sisters.
