Different Types Of Sentence

Today I have to explain the different types of sentence types you all reading. If you don't know what a very short sentence or w start or adverb start, they are type of sentences that you can use when writing. Very short sentence mean is were that sentence only have 5 or less words. W Start means where you have a word that starts with a W like While, When Where, eg. Adverb Start means the sentence with a word that ends with a ly like Quickly, Nervously, Sadly, Angrily, Joyfully. The different types of sentences we learnt were:

  • Very short sentence
  • W-Start
  • Adverb Start ( -ly )
Here are some examples of the sentence.
Very Short sentence: 

You can grow plants in soil.
You can grow plants in beakers.

The W Start:
When you grow plants in a beaker, it won't be as big if its in soil.
When you grow plants in soil, it will be bigger then when you grow it in a beaker.

Adverb Start:
Nervously, the kids sat in the science room waiting, for the teacher to say that they finished it.
Quietly, the kids sat in the science room while the teacher explain what to do with the seed and beaker.
