Get NZ Writing


On Monday we started a activity called "Book of the Road". Its an activity where you get an buddy school and you send you work to them. Our buddy class is St Peters School in Cambridge. we got a box that was sent from "School Kit" we got a really big peace of paper with some glitched word on it and some 3D classes and other stuff. Car Transport

Today we had to create a graph on our chrome book with the data we got last week when we went to the fence and got data of how much cars went pass us and what type Passenger, Transport (Big trucks) and Other. Here is my work. hope you like it. How did you conduct this statistical investigation?

Procedural Writing - Hur 3

Tangata Whenua - Who Are We

For the past week we have been doing Hurumanu 1. today we had to watch a video about how that place we live in is called new Zealand and fill out a work sheet here are the questions.
1. Where did the Maori people arrive form? 2. How did they arrive in NZ. 3. What did they bring to NZ. 4. How did they get food. 5. Write 3 sentences about the Moriori people. 6. how did they prove that Maori and Moriori descended from the same people?. 7. Explain how the  came to be extinct. 8. Why did the Maori choose to settle in the places they did. 9. In your work bank, write the meaning of whanau, Hapu and Iwi. 10. Explain the role of the rangatira - list at least 5 roles.

Home Room - CARR Values

This past week we have been doing HR or Home Room. We had to pick one of the school values and create a video or DLO about the Values. My group chose Resilience in class and chose to make a biteable . Here is my groups work.

Life On Mars - The Martian

In the first week of school in hurumanu my Teachers let us watch a movie the movie was called The Martian. Here are some big points about the movie in my opinion. Mark made a seed grow on Mars with his own poo. Mark got people to see photos on Earth. Mark found a Satellite. The crew found out he was alive. He made communication with people on Earth at NASA. He made himself iornman. Commander got Mark and bout him back in the Spaceship and back on Earth. He became a space teacher . Here is some of the Characters names are Mark, Nidey, Commander, Teddy, Rich, Zhu, Mindy, Ryoko, Chris, Beth, Melissa, Mitch, Rick, Vincent, Alex, Burce, Annie, Brendan, NASA psychologist. The Setting is Mars, Spaceship, Earth, NASA. Here is a photo of the movie.
